Arsenal's George Eastham may have been a gentle and philosophical footballer. But he was trying to stop Leeds United winning. Nothing was more provoking than that.
It's lovely to watch this game from sixty years ago and see Highbury as recognisably the same ground where Mark Viduka saved Leeds United's Premiership status in 2003.
The camera position is identical, and we see the same small paddock in front of the opposite stand's lower tier, that disappears behind the fascia dividing it from the seats above. The players come out on to the pitch through a sort of suburban conservatory in front of the tunnel. Unfortunately that was removed before Patrick Viera had the chance to put Roy Keane's head through it.
