Are these emails different from the rest of Leedsista?

Yes — this is separate. The History of Super Leeds by Email is a set of 30 extracts from my book, 100 Years of Leeds United, and that's all, and you can receive them whether you're a Leedsista member or not. (Leedsista members get sent regular match reports and other articles — you can join them here.)

What if I try this and don't like it?

No problem — there's a simple link to unsubscribe in every email.

What happens at the end of the 30 emails?

You'll be much better informed about Super Leeds, I hope — and you'll be unsubscribed from the mailing list and never bothered about it again.

What sort of things will I learn?

The 30 extracts are each roughly 1,200 words long and will be sent to you in chronological order, from the beginnings of football in Leeds, the formation and dismantling of Leeds City, the founding of Leeds United, Dick Ray's pre-war team, Raich Carter's post-war team, John Charles being brilliant, the Don Revie era and the origins of 'Dirty Leeds', success and near-success in the 1960s and 1970s, decline and fall through the 1980s, revival under Howard Wilkinson, surging into the Champions League, falling (again) into League One and coming back through Simon Grayson, years of upheaval, and Marcelo Bielsa. Plus all sorts of tidbits and trivia along the way.

It's not the complete story — you'll need to buy the book for that — but it should be a fun and informative weekly read.

How do I know if it'll be any good?

The extracts are all from my book, 100 Years of Leeds United. 1,424 reviewers on Amazon have given it an average 4.8 out of 5 (one of the low reviews was because the envelope it came in was damaged...) and on GoodReads it has 4.62 out of 5 from 288 ratings. 'Love for the club comes off the pages in droves', says one kind reviewer, 'The book is informative and gets to the point, it doesn't linger or drag matters out'.

What if I want to skip the emails and just read the whole history?
